Documentary about our social, economic, and political relationships with water. The film is mostly video segments and limited dialog; there are about 15 short stories here, including footage of the Bellagio in Vegas; the annual pilgrimage of millions to the Ganges in India; researchers who extract ice cores from extreme depths in the Arctic to understand historic climate patterns. Thumbs up for a movie that I thought was interesting and resonates given the global issues related to water. It does wander a lot without dialog necessary to make the connections between the stories in the film and the connections between the people and the larger issues resulting from our dependence on water. (2014; 3 Stars)
